🔥 If you see smoke or signs of a fire, leave the area safely and call 999 straight away.

🌊 However warm the weather may be, please do not enter lakes, ponds, rivers or reservoirs. Open water can contain hidden dangers, including submerged objects, unexpected currents and cold water shock.

🚨 If someone gets into difficulty in the water, call 999 immediately. Never put yourself at risk by entering the water to rescue them.

Independent Retailer Month has just ended but that doesn't mean we can't still pop and see our local retailers to show them your support....

It's the last day of Independent Retailer Month.
As the campaign draws to a close, we'd like to remind everyone that it's important to continue to support our indie businesses today and all year round.
They may be facing challenges like reduced footfall, a drop in customer spending and rising costs, but they are also a resilient bunch who know their customers better than any one else, are adaptable and remain the lifeblood of local communities.
According to Indie Retail, for every £1 spent with a local, independent business, 50p to 70p circulates back into that local economy.

“Shirebrook Town Market – Update


You may have seen the fencing surrounding the newly developed market square has now been removed, whilst Shirebrook Town Council continue to work on getting the agreement finalised and the official handover completed, the market will continue to run as it has previously and the pavilion will stay closed.


Temporary toilets will be provided.
