Free police-backed cyber resilience training for NW organisations

The Cyber Resilience Centre for the North West is a police-led not-for-profit organisation created to support small businesses, charities and public sector organisations in protecting themselves from growing cyber crime.

The CRC offers free training for groups of employees or 1-2-1 sessions, covering the basics of cyber security and the easy steps required to protect your devices and your organisation from cyber breaches or cyber attacks.

DI Dan Giannasi, who heads up the CRC team, said: “It’s vital that small businesses, charities and public sector bodies invest in regular cyber security training for their staff.

“The majority of cyber attacks begin with a simple human mistake, such as clicking on a phishing link or using a weak password. By giving employees the skills and confidence to spot suspicious activity, owners turn their team from the organisation’s biggest vulnerability into its strongest line of defence.”
