Solidarity to NHS theatre staff at the Northern Care Alliance who marched, picketed and rallied today. These UNISON members are demanding to be paid for overtime in line with their contracts - they currently get less than their normal hourly rate, incentivising management inaction over understaffing.

On Saturday 18 April 2026 hundreds of antifascists opposed Britain First’s national demonstration in Manchester.

Police consistently used disproportionate and unnecessary force against antifascist protesters on the day, deploying PAVA spray and injuring at least 150 antifascists.

This appeal is towards legal and other costs facing a trade unionist who was arrested on the day and is not eligible for legal aid. We cannot allow the state to deter antifascist protesters in this way.

The Unite strikers at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel are asking for a big turnout to support their picket from 5pm on Saturday. Please bring as many people, banners and flags as you can.

The picket is at the hotel on Oxford Road, M60 7HA.
