| The Westhoughton Neighbourhood Team and GMP's Motorbike Unit were out patrolling the Westhoughton area yesterday following complaints from local residents about off road bikes.
If you know who is riding an off road bike illegally, where bikes are being stored or have information about riders causing anti-social behaviour, please report it to us. | Officers are appealing for information following a serious collision involving a single vehicle on Radcliffe Road, Bolton yesterday (Friday 4 September 2026) at 10:53pm.

Officers responded to reports of a collision involving a Toyota Yaris that was travelling east where it appears to lose control and collide with a tree at the side of the road.

Four occupants inside of the vehicle have suffered varying levels of injuries with some of them life threatening.

As part of the investigation, our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking anyone with information to please come forward.

This includes anyone who witnessed the incident, or has CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage from the area.

| A man has been charged with several offences following an investigation by officers.

Corey Walsh (17/01/2008), of Lowfield, Bolton, has been charged with:

- Possession of cannabis
- Possession of a taser
- Two counts of possession of extreme po*******hy
- Possession of an extreme pornographic image

He will next be attending Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court on 14 December 2026.

| The Town Centre Neighbourhood Team will be deploying with our knife amnesty bin as part of the national week of action to tackle knife crime. You can safely dispose of any unwanted knives at the following drop off locations;

📍 Nelson Square - 18:00-19:30hrs on Friday 4th September

You may have unwanted knives at home and are worried about safely disposing them - this is an excellent way to ensure they are responsibly and securely disposed of. This is also an opportunity to anonymously hand over knives without fear of prosecution. If you wish to hand over a knife, please ensure the blade is safely wrapped in cardboard, secured in place with tape, and placed into an opaque bag whilst on route to the amnesty bin. No details will be taken, no questions asked - simply walk over, drop off, and walk away knife free.

| Officers are appealing for information following a serious collision on Chorley New Road, Bolton that occurred at 10:37am yesterday (3 September).

Officers responded to reports of a collision involving an MG HS Trophy, which is believed to have left the road and collided with a bus stop.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital where they remain in a life-threatening condition.

PC 10577 Falzon and the South Bolton Neighbourhood Team conducted a road traffic operation on Cawdor Walk, Farnworth. The operation aimed to reduce traffic offences, provide a visible policing presence, and help prevent serious road traffic collisions.

During the operation, officers engaged with members of the public and carried out a number of vehicle stops. Drivers were spoken to, offered advice, and given the opportunity to ask questions relating to road traffic legislation and offences.

The South Bolton Neighbourhood Team will continue to educate road users and carry out proactive operations to tackle driving offences and improve road safety within the community.
