🔴 Kent County Council Annual Meeting, 21st May 2026
The establishment showed its true colours. Again.
🚪 Let's Start With the Last Full Council
Every. Single. Opposition. Group. Walked. Out.
Greens. Restore Britain. Labour. Conservatives. Liberal Democrats.
Not one of them had the backbone to stay in the chamber and do the job Kent residents are paying them to do. One coordinated, choreographed stunt, designed to undermine the democratic mandate that the people of Kent delivered to Reform UK.
They didn't walk out on us. They walked out on YOU.
Then they had the audacity to come back to May's Full Council and expect to be taken seriously.
Different rosettes. Same walkout. Same establishment. Same contempt for Kent voters.
💧 Green Group, Water Resilience
Let's be absolutely clear about what happened here.
The Greens brought this identical motion to the last Full Council, then abandoned it themselves when they walked out in their political tantrum. They left their own motion dying on the chamber floor.
The issue they claim to care most passionately about, dropped the moment it became politically inconvenient.
That's not principle. That's performance.
Now they've brought it back and the KCC Chairman Cllr Jeremy Eustace deferred it to July, because unlike the Greens, we actually take water resilience seriously.
Our Water Short Focus Inquiry has produced hard evidence and real recommendations. We are building policy on those foundations, methodically, rigorously, in the genuine interests of Kent residents.
The Greens couldn't even stay in the room for their own motion.
Reform UK is doing the work they never bothered to do.
🚜 Restore Britain Kent, Protecting Farmers
This one is almost embarrassing.
Restore Britain marched into Full Council demanding action to protect Kent's farmers, apparently unaware that the vast majority of what they called for is already being delivered. Already in place. Already being worked on, by Reform UK at KCC and by central government.
Did they not know? Or did they simply not care enough to check?
But here's the real story. Restore Britain sell themselves to voters as something radical and different, an antidote to the tired old establishment.
So why did they walk out of the last Full Council alongside Labour, the Conservatives, the Greens and the Liberal Democrats?
Why do they vote with them? Walk with them? Act with them?
Voters who back Restore Britain believing they were getting genuine reform deserve a straight answer, because from where we're standing, all we can see is the establishment with a fresh coat of paint.
Same bloc. Same games. Same contempt for the Reform UK mandate.
✅ Liberal Democrats, Tourist Travel in Kent
The Lib Dems brought a motion on tourist travel in Kent. It had merit. Reform UK supported it — because we judge ideas on substance, not tribal politics.
But let's not pretend the Lib Dems get a free pass.
These are the same Liberal Democrats who walked out of the last Full Council alongside every other opposition group, abandoning their responsibilities, abandoning Kent residents, abandoning democracy, then strolled back in expecting business as usual.
We supported your motion. Now ask yourselves whether walking out with the establishment bloc is really the representation your voters are paying for.
🔴 Here's What Kent Residents Need to Understand
This isn't just about one walkout. This is about a pattern.
Every opposition group at Kent County Council, across every political badge, is operating as a single unified bloc against the Reform UK administration.
Against the mandate YOU delivered at the ballot box.
Against the change YOU voted for.
They walk together. They vote together. They perform together.
And while they're doing that, Reform UK is governing.
We stayed in the chamber. We read the evidence. We deferred a motion responsibly rather than rush it. We supported a good idea on its merits. We are delivering for Kent.
They work for the establishment.
We work for you.
The people of Kent voted for change. The entire establishment is trying to stop it. That should make every Kent voter angry, and it should make every Reform UK voter proud.
We will not be walked out on. We will not be intimidated. And we will not stop.
