Our libraries and Technology Enhanced Lives Service (TELS) are teaming up to showcase how technology can support care at home and out in the community.

Our team will be at Ashford Library on Monday 8th June and Dartford Library on Tuesday 9th June between 10am-4pm, come down and see how care technology can support you.

A new post-16 course designed to help young people build practical rural skills has been welcomed by Kent County Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, Beverley Fordham.

Launching this September at Homewood School, the Level 1 Land-based Studies course will give students hands-on experience in farming and rural industries, delivered in partnership with Plumpton College.

With places already filling up, it offers a valuable local pathway into further study, apprenticeships or careers in the land-based sector 🌱

When v**es get crushed in general waste or mixed recycling, the batteries can spark. That spark becomes a fire. Sometimes in the truck. Sometimes at the depot 😧🔥
