Please join our campaign and sign the petition to save Maidenhead Post Office

This week, I have started a campaign to protect the town’s Post Office as its current home in the Nicholsons Centre faces closure.

With the shopping centre due for demolition, the Post Office will close in May. This will leave thousands of Maidenhead residents, especially older residents, at risk of losing essential face‑to‑face services.

It is a lifeline for those older and more vulnerable residents in the town centre, whether they’re collecting a pension, whether they’re using banking services, the in-person facilities that the Post Office has really are a lifeline for those individuals.

That's why I'm launching a petition to show just how important this service is to Maidenhead, and I am campaigning for an alternative location to be found as quickly as possible.

Following discussions with the Environment Agency and a meeting with them in March, I am pleased to have had confirmation that £500k of funding has been secured to progress Marsh Lock Horse Bridge and Temple Footbridge.

This will be used to develop either outline designs, outline business cases or other vital initial milestones that can be used to facilitate the acquisition of partnership funding.

I was proud to re-open my local, the Cricketers.
Having worked there for several years, I understand that it's more than 'just a pub' - it's a part of our community.

Sian and the team have done a fantastic job so far, and I know they'll keep it up for years to come.

The Coronation Road pub held an opening ceremony in Maidenhead on Wednesday, November 6 after a two-day closure.
