Every great achievement starts with strong foundations.

We're delighted to share our latest blog exploring how secure foundations in learning help children succeed both now and in the future. At St Thomas Catholic Academies Trust (STCAT), we're especially proud that 87% of our Year 1 pupils passed the Phonics Screening Check for the second year running, helping them develop the reading skills that unlock learning across the curriculum.

By focusing on fluency, revisiting key concepts, and supporting every learner to build confidence step by step, we're helping pupils achieve their full potential.
