Shropshire Council need to seriously pull their fingers out of their ears, start listening and get on top of waste contractor. The constant mess around town is ridiculous. Nearly 10% increase in council tax and get a 100% worse service. Maybe this is a service the town council should take over as part of devolution?? They could redirect some funds to us, we would have more pride and care locally to ensure a better service was delivered. Lots of stuff to consider though if we were to…. Vehicles, training, insurance etc.

Deep in thought!! but….Proud and humbled to be Deputy Mayor of Ludlow 2026/27.

Plenty of people moan about what does and doesn’t happen, however no one steps up. I stood last year to make a change, and people I speak to say they can see improvements albeit slow and steady but little changes make the difference, so here’s to another year of positive progress.

Thank you to all that voted for and have confidence in me, I will do my best to support the mayor, Cllr Lyle and I hope we can all work collectively as a council to further improve the town we all love. ✌️

📣 We are pleased to announce that Councillor Pete Addis has been elected as the Deputy Mayor of Ludlow for 2026/27.

The official appointment of Cllr Pete Addis as Deputy Mayor will be made at the Mayor Making Ceremony on Wednesday 27th May, 7pm at Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

🚧 Henley Road Cemetery – Vehicle Entrance Closed for Resurfacing
Please be aware that the main Henley Road Cemetery entrance will be fully closed for resurfacing works from 29 June - 3 July. This means there will be no access to the car park during this period.

Alternative pedestrian access is available:
➡Further up Henley Road by the Chapel
➡From the Clee View entrance
(Please note that no parking is available at either of these alternative entrances)
