Following a fatal blaze in Loughborough last month, our Community Educators will be visiting Oakham Close and the surrounding area tomorrow (Wednesday 16 September) offering home safety checks and advice.

Our officers will be on hand from 10am to 4pm so please make the most of their expertise.

A five-minute visit could save your life - or the life of a loved one.

🚒 Turnout Drill – Loughborough & Birstall White Watch🚒

Today, Loughborough and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service Birstall Station White Watches joined together for a two-pump turnout drill, simulating a house fire with four people reported missing.

The exercise provided a great opportunity to put our new recruit Ross through his paces, testing his BA skills, while also challenging one of our new Incident Commander's to manage the incident and make effective decisions. The drill concluded with a simulated roof collapse and firefighters having to locate a different egress to exit safely. Thank you Birstall for keeping us on our toes!

Drills like this are a vital part of our ongoing training and development. A big thank you to Birstall White Watch for hosting us and helping make it a valuable exercise. 👨‍🚒🔥

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Community Open Day and helped make it such a success!

We'd like to thank all of our visitors, vendors, and our partner agencies for their support, time, and enthusiasm throughout the day. It was wonderful to see so many people from our community enjoying the event and learning more about what we all do.

We're also delighted to share that, thanks to your generosity, we raised £635 for charity! This will be split between Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People and Fire Fighters Charity
