Penn Tylers Green & Loudwater Conservatives are very disappointed that Buckinghamshire Council’s Strategic Site Committee have decided to approve the Gomm Valley planning application.

Cllr Nathan Thomas spoke on behalf of Chepping Wycombe Parish at the strategic sites meeting alongside other local residents all who clearly set out local concerns. Cllr Thomas was complemented on his representations by members of the committee.

There remain serious concerns about the impact on the A40 London Road corridor and the knock-on effects for residents along Hammersley Lane and Robinson Road, where traffic congestion and safety issues are already worsening.

The Highway Authority has acknowledged that the A40 corridor is congested and that this development will add further pressure. However, so far no clear information has been provided on how improvements to the corridor will be delivered.

The Lib Dem run Fire Authority’s Lead Members, propped up in coalition by Labour and Independents, have given agreement for 2 options to cut nearly a third of fire engines and close 2 stations in Great Missenden and Stokenchurch to proceed through staff consultation.

Yesterday was our last day as elected Councillors and we both wish to thank all those residents who voted for us. Katrina has spent nearly 2 decades as a Councillor and Nathan 4 years, and we have numerous incredible achievements between us.
We have both served on many committees and held several positions within Buckinghamshire Council. Nathan has served as Mayor of High Wycombe for the last year, and Katrina also served on Wycombe District Council for many years finishing as Leader. Both incredible experiences for both of us.
It was a privilege to serve and do positive work for our villages and we cannot extend sufficient thanks to all those who have supported us over the years to be your voice and stand up for you and to fight for what you believed in.

Thank you to Cllr Steven Broadbent for coming out to help us campaign. As he is the cabinet member for transport we took the opportunity to get some ideas about what could be done about the verge by Ashley Drive park.
