Last night was incredibly challenging for us as we lost some truly amazing, dedicated individuals who have poured their hearts into serving our communities. It's disheartening to see that the local elections became a platform for expressing national frustrations, overshadowing the important local issues that truly matter. As a result, many hardworking people who genuinely care for our community lost.

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported our community champions yesterday, whether they won or not. Your support means the world to us. The implications of these election results for Northumberland and its residents remain uncertain, but please know that our commitment to prioritising Northumberland and advocating for its residents will never waver. We will hold those in power accountable, always keeping our community at the forefront of our efforts.

MaryFinn4Rothbury and I attended the talk by the Wildlife Trust on their vision for the Rothbury Estate. Really interesting talk with excellent and insightful questions from the audience. As someone who enjoys Simonside frequently with my family, it was interesting to hear their plans for the area, and how new parts of the estate might be opened up for people to explore.
