The Institute of Licensing is the professional association for all parties involved in licensing, including local authority officers, Police, lawyers, agents, barristers and the licensed trade. One of our main aims is to increase knowledge and professionalism in licensing practitioners. Being a charity, we do not operate as a business and do not seek to make a profit. Our membership encompasses li
censing officers, Police officers, the licensed trade, licensing barristers and solicitors and licensing consultants from all over the UK. We provide a regular programme of low cost training for our members including free regional training events. Our board of non-paid directors consists of representatives from across the membership. We have eleven regions covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland and employ a small number of staff and contractors. London is an extremely active region. We hold three to four free regional meetings a year at Camden Town Hall, which is close to London Kings Cross/St Pancras stations and also London Euston. Being based in London, we have the pick of some of the best speakers in the country at our regional meetings. We take great pride in ensuring our training is targeted towards the latest and most talked about licensing topics. These meetings include a high quality free buffet lunch, which allows you to network with your colleagues. Our regional meetings are extremely popular and always book out early – a testament to just how good they are! In addition, we provide extremely low cost training days (£25 per head) at least once a year.
