🌈✨ Happy LGBTQ+ History Month!

LGBTQ+ History Month begins today, and we’re stepping into it with pride, power and purpose. This year’s theme is Science & Innovation 🧬✨

Science shapes so much of our daily lives: the tech we use 📱, the healthcare that protects us 🏥, and the solutions we need for climate justice and clean energy 🌍⚡. Black and POC LGBTQ+ people have always been at the heart of imagining new futures and creating the innovations our world depends on.

Yet too often, our names and stories are pushed to the margins. Throughout February, we’re spotlighting the Black and Brown LGBTQ+ innovators whose ideas, creativity and courage have transformed our world in labs, in community spaces, in digital culture and in movements for justice 🔬🌱🎧

The 2026 theme reminds us that LGBTQ+ scientists and innovators have always been here. And while this month gives us space to honour that history, our brilliance deserves recognition every single month 🌈🔥
Stay with us as we celebrate the past, uplift the present and imagine the futures Black and POC LGBTQ+ people continue to build. Our history is every day. Our innovation is every day. Our pride is every day ✊🏾🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Our Wikipedia editathon was postponed in February - which means you didn’t miss it!
