St Peter's Church Woolton: History and Heritage

St Peter's Church Woolton: History and Heritage St Peter's Church, Woolton - history and heritage. The birthplace of the Beatles, and so much more!

From July 6th-9th 2017, St Peter’s Church will welcome the world to Woolton Village as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the meeting of two seemingly ordinary Liverpool lads who went on to change the world. On that day, no-one dreamed what John meeting Paul would lead to. The events of that day, 60 years ago, showed that magic can happen anywhere, even at a local village fete, when a community

comes together. Even without the Beatles connection, that alone is worth celebrating and very much reflects the emphasis that St Peter’s places on the local community and Church families. We want to share our blessings with as many people as possible, and so during 2017 we will be holding a series of celebratory events, including having the Church Hall open during the anniversary weekend in July and International Beatle Week celebrations in August. This page is run solely by members of St Peter’s Church and is intended to be the hub of information for all anniversary events in and around Woolton Village. If you are holding an anniversary-related event and would like to be included on our events page, just drop us a line.
