£684,578 boost for local community spaces 🎉

From warmer community halls and safer play areas to better disabled access and upgraded kitchens, 69 projects across Lisburn and Castlereagh are set to benefit from Council investment.

The funding will help local groups make practical improvements to the places where people meet, volunteer, play sport, learn new skills and find support.

Projects include:
♿ Better accessibility
🏠 Essential building repairs
💡 More efficient heating and lighting
🍽️ Upgraded kitchens and toilets
🌱 Improved gardens and outdoor spaces
🔒 Better safety and security

Name calling and negative politics are not the kind of politics this country needs.

For almost 30 years, we've seen what happens when parties fail to work together for the people they represent. I joined Alliance because I wanted to give back to my local community, help people on the ground, and make a real difference for my daughter's future.

We won't solve our biggest challenges by looking backwards. We need to work together, build stronger communities, and leave the old, divisive style of politics where it belongs, in the past.
