The surgery is experiencing significant short staffing, as well as high demand for our services. Due to this, please be aware that it may take longer than usual for us to answer your calls.

Public Health England and Hertfordshire Council are looking to better understand people's experiences of cervical screening by asking patients to take part in a survey (you can still do this even if you haven't had a smear test recently).

By taking a few minutes to share your experience, you could help shape future support and services in Hertfordshire.

We are pleased to confirm that following recent water damage, our Sollershott Surgery site will be back open for patients from Monday 7th September.

Thank you for your understanding and support this week whilst we were not able to see patients in that building.

Appointments for today have been moved to the Birchwood site, please check your phone if you have any upcoming appointments as we will contact you with any changes.

Birchwood Site – Notice

Please be aware that intermittent heating and water works will be taking place at the Birchwood Site over the next few weeks.

The works will not affect the running of the surgery, but you may notice some noise and contractors in the building when attending.

Road Closure Notice – Baldock

Please be aware that a road closure will be in place in Baldock from Monday 27 July 2026 for approximately 1–2 weeks.

During this period, there will be no access to Park Drive Health Centre from the High Street. The Health Centre can only be accessed via the Tesco roundabout, using London Road or South Road.

If you have a blood test appointment during this time, please allow extra time for your journey to ensure you arrive promptly.

If you're eligible, you can now get your free MenB vaccine.

MenB can cause serious illnesses like meningitis and septicaemia.

You may be eligible if you are:
✅ 17 to 18 years old and born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008
✅ Under 25 and starting university or moving into residential further education for the first time

Eligible 17 to 18-year-olds born between these dates can book online if they’re registered with a GP in England. Eligible under-25s can get vaccinated at a participating pharmacy – no GP registration is needed.

You'll need 2 doses, given at least 4 weeks apart, for the best protection.
