Last week, we had a fantastic neuro-physio session at Age UK led by JD, which highlighted the importance of staying active.🙆
JD is a qualified physiotherapist with extensive experience supporting individuals living with Parkinson’s, MS, spinal injuries, dementia, and many other health conditions.
The session was an opportunity to demonstrate how a simple morning routine can create rhythm in the body, improve mobility, and help prepare for the day ahead. Participants were encouraged to work at a level that felt achievable for them, showing that even small changes can make a meaningful difference.
One carer shared:
“The session was very helpful, not just for my husband but for me too! We both have mobility problems, but these simple steps will really help us keep moving.”
Being active doesn’t have to mean intense exercise. Activity can take many forms, and finding ways to move that work for you can benefit both your physical health and your wellbeing. Every movement counts! 💙
