We can't wait for Light Night Leeds next week!

Experience The Leeds Library in a whole new light as one of the city's most atmospheric and historic spaces opens its doors. No booking is required, although expect queues! A rest area with hot drinks and snacks will also be available throughout the evening.

In partnership with ELFM chapELFM, the library will be softly illuminated, highlighting the beauty of its historic rooms and hidden corners. Wander through the building, discover unexpected spaces, and uncover stories that have lived within its walls for more than 250 years.

Live readings from volunteers at Chapel FM will fill the building with voices and stories, sharing favourite passages and literary treasures. Whether you're a devoted reader or simply curious about this remarkable city-centre landmark, you'll find a warm welcome and an opportunity to pause, listen, rest and reflect.
