A lovely morning spent litter picking with residents. Making our community prettier, one plastic bag at a time! Thank you to Lisa Brealey for organising it and to the residents who attended to help out.

🏟️ Leamington FC Stadium – more detailed information now available

For anyone wanting to take a closer look at the latest update on the proposed new Leamington FC stadium, the club has shared further information here:

It’s a useful source if you want to understand a bit more about the current thinking and what is being proposed at this stage.

As ever, it’s important that residents have access to clear information and feel able to follow developments like this as they progress.

Thank you to the community members who joined me at today's protest outside the Miller Homes Silver Willows show home today.

It's important they hear how fed up we are with the rubbish which was STILL caught in the grass verge and hedgerow!

I've also heard from residents about the building rubble being mixed in with top soil and being spread all over the Country Park. Very worrying news which I will work with residents to get to the bottom of.

A win! 🎉

The applicant for the 125 houses off Mallory Road has been asked to correct the error in their planning application report about the number of accidents at the Mallory Road/Banbury Road junction.

Thank you to everyone in the community who shared information and evidence to help challenge it. It shows what can be achieved when local people work together to hold developers to account to protect our community.

Yesterday I wrote to the Miller Homes CEO again because I am honestly completely frustrated that so little has changed since my last letter, despite all the promises and reassurances we were given.

We were told rubbish would be picked up daily. It hasn’t been.
We were told skips would be covered. They still aren’t.

Yesterday the state of Harbury Lane was absolutely disgraceful yet again. Rubbish everywhere! Blowing across the road, into hedges, ditches and the surrounding Country Park. Residents should not have to keep living with this or spending months repeating the same complaints while nothing meaningful changes.

At this point, promises without action are meaningless.

People in our community really care about where we live and are tired of being ignored. Basic standards should not be too much to ask.

So if anyone would be willing to join me this weekend at 10.30am Saturday 16th May for a peaceful protest outside the Miller Homes show home to call for proper action, please let me know. Even a small group standing together sends a clear message that this is not acceptable and we are not going to stay quiet while our community is treated like this.

Please share this post so more people see what is happening.

W/25/1121 - Land off Mallory Road planning application

A helpful resident has brought it to my attention that the nature of the re-consultation for the Land off Mallory Road relates ONLY to the amendments on the application and NOT the full application in its entirety. I've also been made aware that 12th May is the formal deadline but comments need to be received before 21st May. Please see details below from the planning officer in charge of the planning application process.

For my objection wording see - https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZ26UiZrJpvJXcwaaf0AKmD2oG8r03NQMz7

For my Mallory Road/Banbury Road junction accident evidence see - https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZwgqiZXnHr4biqMMYAbACPbvGvkRPbQx4X

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can advise that the re-consultation for this proposal is seeking any comments in relation to the most recent amendments on the application which include the updated parameter plans, BNG addendum and the landscape information only.

Whilst the formal re-consultation ends on the 12th May 2026 I can advise that any comments received after this time can be considered. Please note that the application has a current determination date of 21st May 2026 so any comments would need to be received by this time.

I hope that the above is of some assistance however if you have any questions or wish to discuss anything further, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Great news about the Harbury Lane cyclepath/footpath! The Secretary of State has approved it as a cycle path which means the access points and lighting can now be installed.

Will be so useful particularly in the winter months. The right decision for residents after procedural mistakes by Warwickshire County Council.

A local Public Inquiry is to be held into the above Order which has been submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, pursuant to section 3(1)(a) of the Cycle Tracks Act 1984.

Following the litter issues at Silver Willows, I decided it was time to raise it directly with Miller Homes CEO and ask him to take action.

They’ve now carried out a full clean of the site perimeter and have committed to daily litter checks, alongside tighter controls on how waste is managed on site.

This is a positive step, but it shouldn’t have taken this level of escalation (and over 100 photos and videos!) to get here.

You know I'll be keeping a close eye on this to make sure the improvements actually happen - feel free to give me a wave if you see me out running!

I also emailed Miller re: maintenance of SuDS ponds on Montgomery Grange, Hampton Magna a month ago and have chased with a deadline. If I receive no response I will escalate again.

Thank you to everyone who raises issues with me. Please do keep flagging them so I can take them up.
