Parking is a topic that regularly comes up in our meetings with schools and local residents and for good reason. Inconsiderate or dangerous parking around schools can put young people at real risk.
When dropping off or picking up children, please keep the following in mind:
✅ Allow extra time – school areas are often very busy
✅ Do not park on yellow zigzag lines and avoid stopping opposite them
✅ If you park be considerate of residents and do not block driveways or access points

***UPCOMING CRIME PREVENTION EVENT***

Do you live and/or work in Weston-under-Wetherley, Eathorpe, Hunningham, Offchurch or Wappenbury?

If yes, we'd like to invite you to a crime prevention event being held at Weston Under Wetherley Village Hall on Monday 15th June 2026. This event is for residents and businesses in the local area, to discuss crime prevention and/or any local concerns/issues.

Whether you live in the area, run a rural business, live/work on a farm or keep your horses at a livery yard, we'd love to see and speak with you at the event!

There will be representation from the following organisations/departments: Warwick Rural East SNT, Warwickshire Neighbourhood Watch, Warwickshire Rural Crime Team, Rural Crime Advisors from Stratford District Council who also cover Warwick District (funded by the Warwickshire PCC), Warwickshire HorseWatch and Parish Council representative(s).

Come along and tell us what matters to you!

Future events are being planned for other villages/parishes on the Warwick Rural East area.

***For information of residents in Cubbington Village***
The council have coned off High Street, New Street and Church Lane in anticipation of traffic lights and road works being carried out by BT Open Reach.
These are planned to commence 1-JUNE-26 and last for 1 day.
For those attending Cubbington School in the morning, please allow extra time to park and walk to school due to the further reduced parking availability.

We had a report from Kenilworth Golf Club on Crewe lane at 12.30 AM on Bank Holiday Monday 25/5/26 .
A group of youths male and female were seen on site and caused damage to the front entrance to the clubhouse .
Police will view the clubs CCTV and hopefully deal with the suspects when identified.
Do you know where your child was at the time stated ?.

The A46 southbound by the junction for Leek Wootton (Gaveston Island) is closed due to a collision. Please avoid the area and take an alternative route.

Please be aware we're seeing significant traffic in the Stoneleigh area this afternoon due to a major festival this weekend.

Event organisers have traffic management plans in place and we are there too.

If possible, please avoid the area. If you need to travel through, please leave plenty of extra time for your journey.
