We are delighted to award the following micro grants over the last few months

LDCI £250 to get graffiti removed of signs in the village

Sutherland adventure company £250 for activities in little loch Shin

Light up Lairg £250 for new 24v outdoor Christmas tree lighting

Golspie high school £127 for Christmas meals

Lairg Gaelic Choir £250 to help with competition costs and travel

Our micro grant pot is now low in funds and we hope to secure more early in 2026

Pls read! Draft Local Plan for Lairg. Since November 2024, Lairg Community Council, Lairg & District Community Initiative, and Sutherland Community Partnership have been working on a Local Area Plan for Lairg. This plan reflects views gathered through community engagement in 2024/2025, addresses key issues highlighted by the residents and community organisations of Lairg, and details community aspirations and land-use opportunities.

The Annual general Meeting of Lairg Community Council will be held at 7pm in the Kinvonvie Suite Lairg Community Centre on Wednesday 4th June 2025. All are welcome to attend. The AGM will be followed by the ordinary monthly meeting.
