!!! Important update !!!

KINVER PARISH COUNCIL would like to thank the good people of Kinver Parish for turning out in larger numbers than expected, over 1000 voted on the 24th August. And an overwhelming vote of 87% approving our Neighbourhood Plan.

The Chair of the Kinver Neighbourhood Plan Steering group said she wished to thank the people of Kinver for their support and to the steering group members who helped write the plan. This was a fantastic result, especially as we are the first Parish Council in South Staffs to have a plan in place. Good luck to all the Parishes who follow, keep persevering.

Councillor Victoria Wilson, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Business Enterprise and Community Infrastructure said ‘The parish council must be very proud to be the first in the district to get their Neighbourhood Plan across the line. It shows that local communities can have a real say in the planning for their area.’

Neighbourhood plans are a way of helping local communities to influence the planning of their local area. They are led and written by the community, but must be in line with both national, and local planning policies in their planning council’s Local Plan.

Kinver leads the way in Staffordshire.
