Set midway between Kendal and Windermere, historic Staveley is a great place to live and to visit. The rivers Kent and Gowan run through Staveley and join just outside the village centre, offering the chance to spot wildlife and enjoy some beautiful scenery in

all seasons. The village lies on the Dales Way, and is a popular start or stopping point for walkers of all abilities. It boasts its own school, church, shops, several pubs and cafes, a large central recreational ground complete with children's playground along with two village buildings - the Village Hall and the Pavilion, both of which are available to hire. A former bobbin mill is now known as Staveley Mill Yard and has become a thriving centre for many businesses and services, from a brewery and artisan bakery to a bike shop and even a cookery school. With its bi-annual village carnival, regular events, an active and generous community and some of the most stunning scenery in England, there literally is something for everyone in Staveley!
