Have Your Say on the Future of Laidlaw Pool & Gym!

Pop along to the Town Hall this Sunday, 30th August, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm for a friendly blether with the Town Team and members of the Jed Valley Swim group.

We’re looking ahead to what’s next for the Laidlaw facility, and we want to make sure the plans reflect what our community genuinely wants and needs.

We are especially keen to hear from our more seasoned, experienced residents! You are a huge, vibrant part of our pool and gym community; we missed some of you in our last survey, and your insight is invaluable in making sure we get things right for the years ahead.

Whether you’re doing lengths every week, keeping active in the gym, or just want to see great local amenities thrive, the door is wide open. Drop in anytime between 11 and 2, share your thoughts, and help us shape an exciting future together!

An absolutely brilliant first meeting with our new volunteers! 🤩

A fantastic range of expertise is sitting around the table—from leisure facility operations and finance to fundraising, accountancy, and volunteer management. The wealth of talent and passion in our community is great!

We spent the session rolling up our sleeves and mapping out the key areas we need to bulk up ahead of the October deadline for the Borderlands proposal. It was a really constructive meeting, and everyone left with clear actions and plenty of work apportioned to keep us moving forward at full steam.

There’s a real buzz in the air, and we’re all excited about what’s ahead. A huge thank you to everyone who stepped up—we're one big step closer to getting those doors reopened! 🏊‍♂️✨

Welcome to our brand new page. If you’ve been missing a splash in our local pool, you are in the right place. This page marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the Jedburgh Swimming Pool, and we want you to be a part of it.
