Isleworth & Syon School Exceptional education and outstanding opportunities in a modern boys' school with traditional values. https://linktr.ee/isleworthsyon

"Building on the long-standing traditions of the school, staff support the development of ‘courteous, respectful and calm’ young men, reflecting the school’s well-established values." Taking a place at Isleworth & Syon School means joining a school with a long and successful history dating back to 1630. Over our 400-year history, we can point to sustained success for the nearly 100,000 students who have passed through our doors. We offer expertise and pedigree – we do not have to just tell you that we are successful, but we can show you that this is the case. Everything that we do in school is focused on a singular goal – getting the very best out of our boys. That’s the Isleworth & Syon way – and we are committed to it on a daily basis. So how do we ensure that boys thrive?

• We have established a culture of high standards – every student knows the Isleworth & Syon way
• We recruit only the best teachers, subject specialists who are, or will become, experts in teaching boys
• We teach a curriculum which provides high-quality learning experiences structured specifically for our boys
• We help boys explore their futures, through careers education that relies not on stereotypes but on boys’ own interests
• We connect with you, the parents/carers, working in partnership to maximise your child’s potential. The school website should give you a flavour of what we have to offer including top-class facilities, a broad and diverse programme of extra-curricular activities, an outstanding pastoral system, and much more. A Proud Isleworthian Returns 🏏

We were delighted to welcome former student and England international cricketer Owais Shah back to Isleworth & Syon to officially open our brand-new cricket nets.
This state-of-the-art four-lane facility is a major investment in the future of cricket at I&S, providing outstanding opportunities for students to develop their skills for years to come.

During the opening, Owais joined current students in the nets, sharing coaching tips and encouragement with the next generation of aspiring cricketers. The day was made even more special by the presence of several generations of Isleworthians, highlighting the enduring connection between our past, present and future. One particularly memorable photograph brought together four generations of alumni and students – a powerful reminder that once an Isleworthian, always an Isleworthian.

Following the opening, Owais took part in the first I&S Inspires event of the academic year, answering questions from students about his journey from Isleworth & Syon to international cricket. His reflections on school life, resilience and ambition provided a fascinating insight into what it takes to succeed at the highest level.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this landmark occasion. It was a day that perfectly captured what makes Isleworth & Syon special.

Stay Connected. Make a Difference. Stay Isleworthian. 💙

Thank you to all the families who attended. The fantastic turnout was a wonderful reflection of the strong partnership between home and school that sits at the heart of life at Isleworth & Syon.

A Night to Remember at Isleworth & Syon Open Evening!

Thank you again to everyone who joined us for our Open Evening and helped make it such a special event. With over 100 student ambassadors supporting the evening, visitors were able to experience first-hand what makes Isleworth & Syon unique – from our exceptional teaching and pastoral care to the outstanding opportunities available both inside and outside the classroom.

Prospective families heard from our Co-Headteachers, explored departments in action, met staff and students, and discovered the values that have shaped Isleworthians for almost 400 years. It was also wonderful to hear from Year 7 student Yusuf and Head Student Jiya, who spoke so confidently about their journeys and experiences at the school.

The feedback from families has been overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on the warm welcome, enthusiastic student guides and strong sense of community throughout the evening.

If you know a family considering secondary school options for September 2027, we have a limited number of Open Morning tours taking place throughout October. Some sessions are already fully booked, so we encourage families to reserve their place as soon as possible.

Celebrating the European Day of Languages! 🌍

At Isleworth & Syon, we know that learning a language opens doors to new cultures, opportunities and experiences. That’s why students across the school joined in a range of activities to celebrate the European Day of Languages.

From a languages-themed quiz and a school-wide word hunt to special French and Spanish dishes in The Pantry, there was plenty for students to get involved in. Some even earned special flag badges for their efforts!

It was a fantastic celebration of languages and a reminder of the valuable role they play in preparing students for life in an increasingly connected world.

Finding inspiration at the Tate Modern! 🎨

Our Year 11 GCSE Art students recently headed to the Tate Modern for a special curriculum enrichment trip, making the most of the incredible opportunities on our doorstep in London.

Exploring a wide range of exhibitions and artistic styles, students gathered ideas and inspiration to support their GCSE coursework and develop their own creative portfolios. The visit encouraged students to think differently about art, with one student reflecting: “I was opened to unique art forms and mediums that I didn’t consider before.”

From the galleries of the Tate to their own sketchbooks back at school, it was a fantastic opportunity to broaden horizons, spark creativity and support students on their artistic journey.
