With Saint George’s Day coming up wanted to give a reminder of Saint George’s story and the link to Scouting.

Amazing night at St John’s family service, which was showing off all the amazing skills from our young people within the District.

2nd Irlam and 1st Cadishead Scout groups came together to entertain - which they certainly did.

They each had us considering how others feel over the Christmas period and how everyone has a different perspective. We had some wonderful songs and carols and just a really nice evening.

Thanks to everyone who supports the groups and to our young people.

If anyone wants to get involved and help out at any of the groups one night please get in touch? We are always looking for volunteers.

Another wonderful night but with the cubs this time, however they needed to be far more observant than the Beavers last night as the quiz was more difficult. Parents / Carers also joined us tonight which was lovely as I know sometimes we are so busy at start and finish times we don’t get chance to talk.

Beavers - Tuesday 6pm till 7:15pm
Cubs - Wednesday 6:45pm till 8:15pm
Scouts - Tuesday Tuesday 7:30pm till 9:30pm

We are still looking for volunteers particularly in Scouting, so if you can spare 2 hours a week or a fortnight doing activities with 10 to 14 year olds please get in touch. Take them on a hike, bowling, knot tying, art, playing an instrument, diy, changing a car tyre most skills you may have can be shown to the scouts - we would love your help 😁

What a lovely area we have and a great community. Beavers were out walking this evening discovering our local area.
