Not quite finished the Reading Quest yet? Don't panic! The final time to talk to our lovely volunteers to complete it is tomorrow afternoon (5th) from 2.30-4.30pm.
Don't forget that the ceremony and magic show for all those who have finished the Reading Quest is on Sunday 6th September!

Starting school is an exciting time for little ones, but can also be a little daunting too. With a little preparation and encouragement, most children will settle in easily at school, ready to learn and discover.

We have a range of recommended books covering lots of school readiness topics such as learning colours, shapes, alphabet and numbers, as well as making friends, getting dressed, and practising good behaviour. All free to borrow with your library card!

Reading Quest - Additional sessions.
Congratulations to everyone who has finished the Reading Quest so far at Kesgrave Library.
Please see below for some additional sessions when our lovely volunteers will be available next week for those who would still like to complete the reading quest before the presentation:

Wednesday 2nd September: 2.30 - 5.30 p.m.
Thursday 3rd September: 3.30 - 5.30 p.m.
Friday 4th September: 3.30 - 5.30 p.m.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Dolly Parton. While she will be remembered by many for her extraordinary music career, her impact extended far beyond the stage. Through her Imagination Library programme, Dolly helped inspire a love of reading in children around the world, gifting more than 300 million books and championing literacy for generations.

Dolly understood the life-changing power of books and spent her life advocating for access to reading and learning opportunities for all.

For those who would like to learn more about the history and impact of Dolly's Imagination Library, The Library That Dolly Built is available to watch free on Kanopy, our library streaming service.
