This afternoon, I attended the PACT meeting with Tameside Police - GMP at Hyde Bangladeshi Welfare Association with Cllr. Phil Chadwick.

Issues I raised at the meeting and after, as there were lots to discuss were:-

🔷️ Multiple Parking Issues - St Paul’s Hill Road, St John’s Drive, High St, Villiers Street and Stockport Rd.

🔷️ ASB - Hyde Town Centre

🔷️ Drug dealing

Yesterday, Cllr. Andrea Colbourne took part in a mental health awareness walk alongside the wonderful ladies of the Menopause Your Way Hub.

Starting from the Grafton Centre at 10am, the group enjoyed a scenic (and dry thankfully) route along the canal towards Gee Cross, before heading down to Haughton Vale, through the valley in Haughton Green, and back to the hub at the Grafton Centre.

After the walk, everyone was treated to a delicious homemade cheese and onion pie, a perfect way to round off the morning.

Later, Cllr Colbourne met with Callum Percival and Cllr. Phil Chadwick at the Classic Car Show to show support for the local community.

It was great to see Hyde so busy.

So yesterday’s result wasn’t the one we were hoping for.

I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who voted for me, supported me, and helped out during the campaign. We gave it everything, ran a really positive campaign, and although the outcome wasn’t what we wanted, I’m genuinely grateful for all the kindness, encouragement, and backing along the way.

A very special thank you goes to my good friends and agent, Cllr. Andrea Colbourne, and to Nicky, my leaflet-delivering, door-knocking machine, for all the hard work, commitment, and support over the last year. I honestly couldn’t have done it without either of you. 💙

And also congratulations to Mark Beese for his Hyde Godley win 👍

This local election is about who will truly represent Hyde Godley — and that choice is clear: Vote Callum Percival.
