Best Mapper UK 2026 took place in Longmoor Training area last month.

The competition put 9 teams to the test, comprising of 3 international teams as well as 6 from the UK. It challenged not only their military skills but their effectiveness as deployable Geo assets in the field.

After three days of military serials and GEOINT it finished as followed:

Congratulations to all those who took part in Minley Chase last week.

The challenging 24-Hr event tested the physical and mental resilience of the individuals, with the aim being to complete as many 1km individual best efforts as possible.

The team finished an impressive 4th overall out of 16 teams from the Corps.
The team completed 346km as a team of 8 in 24 hours which works out at an average speed of 4-min km’s for the duration of the event.

LCpl P and LCpl L from 14 Sqn recently took part in Ex EAGLE PATROL, the Section competitions hosted by 23 Parachute Engineer Regiment.

The demanding four-day event featured nine stands, navigating significant distances between each. They were designed to test a range of core military skills and basic combat engineering tasks.
The competition culminated in a challenging March and Shoot on the final day, pushing the physical and mental resilience of all participants.

The Regiment are celebrating the recent success of Cpl K, Spr D and Spr P, completing the All Arms Physical Training Instructor (AAPTI) course.

A special congratulations goes to Spr D who broke two athletics records in the 800m and 1500m.

They will now join our PTI team to continue to train our Geo Sappers ⚔️
