We heard from an elderly patient who waited more than 8 hours in severe pain for an ambulance after a hip dislocation.

This case was later raised in the House of Lords, highlighting serious concerns about ambulance response times and pressures across urgent and emergency care.

By listening to people’s experiences, we can help services better understand what needs to improve.

Patients and carers at Daybrook Medical Practice shared positive experiences of using the service during our visit on behalf of the Care Quality Commission. Many people said they felt safe, listened to, and well cared for, with continuity of care highlighted as a key strength.
