DATES FOR YOUR DIARY - new monthly SEND drop-in sessions confirmed

Find the right support for your child or young person with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

It doesn't have to be an overwhelming prospect, as in addition to our Local Offer website you can also come and talk to us in person at our monthly SEND drop-in sessions where you can speak to a professional face-to-face for advice, and support.

• Tuesday 16 June, 3pm to 5pm, Heston Community Hub and Library (TW5 0LW)
• Tuesday 7 July, 10am to 12pm, Meadowbank Community Hub and Library (TW5 9QX)
• Wednesday 26 August, 12:30pm to 2:30pm, Brentford Family Hub (TW8 0BJ)

These sessions have team members from: The Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) team - Therapies - School travel assistance and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS).

Plan ahead for learning and upskilling journey in September!

Starting the week of Monday, 15 June, book an initial assessment with Learn Hounslow by calling 020 8583 6000. This can help identify the right course to help you refresh your skills and improve your chances of finding work or self-employment. We can also advise if you need any extra support.

Our new semester will commence on Monday, 21 September, offering a range of digital skills, Maths and English and creative courses.

To be eligible, you must be aged 19 and over by 31 August 2026. A full list of September courses will be available on the website 👉www.hace.ac.uk

Visit our To***co Awareness Roadshow this June and chat to Healthy Hounslow, addiction recovery specialists and community health teams about the support available to help you take the next step.

📅 16 June – Hounslow High Street from 10am-4pm
📅 17 June – Feltham High Street from 11am-3pm

You'll also be able to learn more about the risks of illegal to***co and v**e products and how we're working with partners to keep Hounslow safe.

Hounslow Activities team is working hard to bring your children an offer filled with fun and excitement this Summer!

If your child is registered for benefits related free school meals your child’s voucher will be received on 19 June to book your child’s activities. Your child will be able to access up to 16 fun packed activities over the Summer holidays. You can find out more information about what’s on this summer on our website.

Applications are now open for Round 1 of the Thriving Communities Fund Small Grants programme.
The fund supports small, local projects that make a positive difference across Hounslow by:
• Improving physical and mental wellbeing
• Reducing social isolation and loneliness
• Building stronger community connections
Funding available:
Up to £200 for one-off events
Up to £1,500 for activities delivered over several months
We particularly welcome applications from projects in Equality Opportunity Areas and those testing new ideas or strengthening community organisations.

We’re inviting Council Tenants to Summer on the Green, a series of events where you’ll have the opportunity to speak to the Council’s housing team, offer insight and ask questions about your estate.

Come along to get support with welfare, benefits, tenancy issues, and anti-social behaviour concerns, as well as enjoying fun activities for all ages like face painting and smoothie bikes!

The first event is taking place on Saturday, 27 June from 12:30pm-4pm at Haverfields Estate, Mission Hall, TW8 OSD
