We’re pleased to announce that Vraxis has been approved to deliver a new qualification — one that sits slightly outside our usual delivery, but firmly within our commitment to professional standards, operational excellence, and frontline safety.

Introducing the ProQual Level 4 Diploma UKERD in Emergency Response Driving — the UK’s highest level of Ofqual-regulated Emergency Response Driver Training.

This qualification is delivered by experienced current and former emergency services drivers, bringing real-world operational expertise into every stage of training, our instructors are full members of the Instutute of Advanced Motorists as Advanced Riders and Advanced Drivers.

There are two available pathways:
Pathway 1: Emergency Response Driver
Available for:
🏍️ Motorbike
🚗 Response Car
🚑 Ambulance
🚒 Fire Appliance
Pathway 2: Rapid Response Driver
Available for:
🏍️ Motorbike
🚗 Response Car
🚑 Ambulance

The qualification covers key areas including:
✅ Pre-drive vehicle inspections
✅ Psychological factors affecting driving
✅ Emergency response driving legislation
✅ Vehicle control systems
✅ Safe and effective high-speed driving
✅ Skid identification, prevention, and management
✅ Correct application of UK emergency response exemptions
✅ Prudent, justified, and proportionate decision-making
✅ Professionalism, accountability, and control while driving

Training is delivered with a maximum 2:1 learner-to-instructor ratio, ensuring focused support and high-quality tuition.

Each learner will receive a minimum of:
• 12 hours of advanced driving tuition
• 15 hours of response driving tuition
• Advanced high-speed response driving tuition on the Rapid Response Driver pathway
• 3 hours of nighttime response driving
Delivered by current and former advanced emergency response drivers, this qualification is designed to support safe, confident, and legally compliant emergency response driving across a range of operational vehicles.
