INSPIRATIONAL!!
Millie Maund from Henlow, took time out from her 10th birthday celebrations to visit The Sanctuary to donate goody bags & new outdoor coats & jackets in support of homelessness in our area. The goody bags contained, a mix of thermal hats, gloves, socks, hand warmers, toiletries & nutritional biscuits.
Whilst out & about with her Mum, Millie, has seen the plight of homeless people in our area & decided to raised money to try to provide a few comforts/essentials for those less fortunate. To raise the cash, & with the help of Mum, Millie organised a social media campaign via Tik Toc & Go Fund Me to raise ÂŁ100. The clothing was kindly donated by a family member who owns a shop in the North of the country.
It was a pleasure for Peter Warren, President, Bob Robinson Co. Secretary & Ken Iloani Support Worker, to welcome Millie & Mum, Jess, to The Sanctuary to explain the work done by both Helping Herts Homeless & OneYMCA in supporting the homeless people in our area and how Millie’s donations will help make THE difference to people's lives.
Many Thanks Millie & we hope you had a fabulous Birthday Weekend of celebrations.
