First week as a councillor — what a ride.

Honestly, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But this week I started my councillor training and it's been a real eye-opener.

There's a lot to get my head around. How the council actually works, who does what, and how to get things done for the people I represent. I'm asking lots of questions and taking plenty of notes.

I won't pretend I know everything yet. But I'm learning fast and I'm keen to get on with it.
None of this would have happened without the support of this community. That means a lot to me — more than I can say.
