Winter emergency accommodation for homeless individuals is now open in Hereford. with CCP (Caring for Communities and People)

Available from 8pm to 8am, these shelters provide a safe warm space to those who are currently sleeping rough

Short walk from Central Ward, excellent service provided by St Martin's Food Share!

Tomorrow St Martin's FoodShare as usual. 11am Scout Hut, Blackmarston Rd & 12pm St Martin's Church, Ross Rd. Prevent waste by sharing food being thrown away by supermarkets. All welcome.
At church, a hot lunch is available free.
I'll be at both venues if you need a chat.

Herefordshire Council is calling for people whose properties have flooded recently to get in touch.

Over the past week, many communities across the county have been affected by flooding. The council is asking those who have suffered property flooding to report it and share any images or videos on its website. This is part of the council's ongoing effort to understand the full impact of such weather events and to ensure they can respond and support those affected within our communities.

- Free domestic abuse awareness training for all professionals who have a unique, one on one trusting relationship with their clients, such as hair and beauty professionals, physiotherapists, chiropractors, tattooists, cleaners, etc.

Very pleased to share that Herefordshire Council are providing free school meals for eligible families again this October half term.

We're pleased to be providing free school meals for the October holidays for eligible vulnerable families.
Over 4,700 primary and secondary school pupils who are entitled to benefits related free school meals will receive a free food voucher up to the value of £15 or equivalent directly through their schools, to cover the cost of a lunchtime meal during half term.

The Safer Neighbourhood team has carried out a foot patrol through the City Centre this morning, out to the Left Bank and over Victoria Bridge. The river level remains quite high and fast flowing with debris visible. We engaged with a number of children who were standing by the riverbank. Words of advice given regarding the dangers of the river. Please note the towpath has standing water in places, and remains slippery underfoot with mud and leaves.

Really hoping everyone in Hereford Central Ward is safe this morning with the river rising.

Please take extra care out there this morning - the councils flood line to report any flooding is 01432 261800

⚠There are several flood warnings and alerts in place across Herefordshire

Please take extra care if you have to travel

Please do not remove flood road closure signs or barriers OR attempt to drive through road closures or flood water for your own safety

Please report any flooding on roads to us as soon as possible on 01432 261800
