Ingrebourne Nature Discovery Centre - EWT Ingrebourne Nature Discovery Centre is a partnership project between Essex Wildlife Trust and Havering Council.

Built in Hornchurch Country Park, the centre overlooks the fantastic marshland and reedbeds of the River Ingrebourne Valley. Tickets are on sale for our NATURE TOTS sessions at Hornchurch Country Park from 14th September. Our parent and toddler group meets on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, during term time.

If you care for a child aged 18 months to 5 years' old, who loves to play outdoors, come and join the forest fun! 🌳 There will be a mud kitchen, bug hunting, nature craft, swings, hammocks and lots of outdoor play.

We're saddened to hear about the recent wildfires at Dunwich Heath and the fire at Middlewick Ranges. With continued hot, dry weather, the risk of fires across green spaces remains high.

To help protect wildlife and habitats, please avoid lighting fires, using disposable barbecues, or doing anything that could create sparks.

Please stay alert and take care when visiting our sites. If you see any signs of fire, call 999 immediately.

We have a couple of spaces available for our last Wilder Holiday Club taking place next Tuesday (11th August). Drop off your child (aged 5-11) from 9am to 3pm at Hornchurch Country Park for an exciting programme of activities designed for children who love wildlife and time outdoors. There will be plenty of opportunities for nature discovery, making friends, learning new skills/crafts and lots of time for free play!
