๐ฅWe are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspected arson in Welwyn Garden City that happened in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 30 December).
The fire was on a second floor flat in Haymeads. It was reported at 3am.
๐ฎDetective Inspector Michael Macbeth said: โFortunately no-one was injured but smoke damage from the fire spread into the communal areas of the block. The family has been re-homed.
โWe have been working closely with Herts Fire and Rescue to establish the cause of the fire, which started in one of the bedrooms. Anyone with any information about the fire is asked to contact us.
โIโd like to reassure the public that we believe this is an isolated incident.โ
