Brilliant work from Councillor Martin Scarborough and local activist Jack from Throston Ward Labour Team 🌹

☀️ WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO THIS SUMMER ☀️

During the summer, Councillor Martin Scarborough and I have been busier than ever:

- I attended the Funday Fundraiser event organised by Special Guardians of Hartlepool Page and local resident Shelly Kitson to hear about the awesome work their group does across the town ✅️

- I've been out litter picking every week across the ward, and so far, I've managed to collect nearly 40 bags of litter from every community 💪

- I volunteered at the annual Hartlepool Pride event to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community in Hartlepool 🏳️‍🌈

- Martin has held regular ward surgeries here in the ward and met with the local PCSO about issues in the ward 👮‍♂️

- Martin and I made sure to attend FC Hartlepool's Charity Funday at The Pavilion Bar at Grayfields to help raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity and Great North Air Ambulances 👍

- Martin and I got the council to commit to adding speed cushions on Challoner Road after residents reached out to us about speeding 👌

- Martin and I organised a community litter pick to mark the end of the summer and managed to pick 6 full bags of litter from Throston estate 🚯

- Martin and I have continued to work tirelessly for local issues, pushing for action on issues such as anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping 🗣

🌹 HARTLEPOOL CONSTITUENCY LABOUR PARTY OFFICIALLY SUBMITS CONFERENCE MOTION ON COUNCIL TAX 🌹

Earlier today, Hartlepool CLP submitted our motion on council tax reform to Labour Party Conference.

For years, we have been at the very forefront of the campaign to reform council tax because we refuse to accept a system that disproportionately affects hardworking families here in Hartlepool.

Jonathan Brash MP and our local councillors both past and present have been the public face of this fight. Hartlepool CLP backs them unanimously.
