Harrogate Library We are located in central Harrogate and offer a wide range of items to borrow including books, audiobooks and e-books.

Meeting rooms are available to hire and there is free Wi-Fi and computer access. We have a wide ranging programme of events.

From stories that spark imaginations to songs, rhymes, and play that help children learn and grow, our free library sessions are the perfect place for under-5s and their grown-ups to spend time together.
Whether you're a regular visitor or joining us for the first time, there's always a warm welcome at the library
💛 Come along, make new friends, and discover just how much fun libraries can be!
👉 Harrogate Library storytimes take place on a Monday afternoon (2pm) and Friday morning (10am). There's also a Stay & Play session on a Monday morning (9am-11.30am)

Prizes and medals are waiting for our reading challenge participants! Don't forget to collect them when you return your books. It's a great opportunity to borrow some more books too!

Over 1000 children aged 4-11 years have registered for the Summer Reading Challenge at Harrogate Library this year. Those that read 6 library books by Saturday 12th September will be able to claim their medal.

Because it is the National Year of Reading, we are out and about in the community spreading the word about all the amazing, free services your local library offers.
