A summer beach party made a huge splash in a town after attracting about 1,000 people to the third iteration of the popular event.

🏖We just wanted to say Thank you so much to everyone who came to our Summer Beach Party yesterday on the Recreation ground - a different location to previous year's ☀️

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone enjoy the sand pits and deck chairs, having a go on the Surf Simulator, competing on crazy golf, Facepainting with Maddie’s Magical Moments face-painting eating plenty of ice creams and we even got a lovely dance display from a small dance group of girls (it was apparant that we had to become their personal DJ for them 🤣). It was lovely to see them enjoying themselves and making everyone smile.

Also thank you to Shake & Shimmy for braving the heat to perform some Zumba for the people of Harleston 💃

It's tomorrow!!! And the weather is looking lovely - don't forget your SPF's ! ☀️☀️☀️

12pm - 6pm at Harleston Recreation Ground.

Please note: Both car parks at the Recreation Ground will be closed on Saturday to allow vehicles belonging to stallholders and activity providers to access and manoeuvre safely around the site.

Blue Badge holders will still be able to park in the main Recreation Ground car park.

If you are able to, we encourage you to walk to the event. If you do need to drive, we recommend parking in either Broad Street car park (near the Church) or the Town car park (where the Co-Op is situated), both of which are approximately a five-minute walk from the Recreation Ground.

☀️🏖 We are excited to announce that Shana from Shake & Shimmy will be encouraging you all to shake on down to our Summer Beach Party on Saturday 💃 Shake & Shimmy from 2pm.

Event starts at 12pm - 6pm
