The Mayor of Guisborough, Councillor Peter Berry, recently visited his chosen Charity of the Year, the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team, to present them with a donation of £1,215 raised throughout his mayoral term.
The team warmly welcomed the Mayor and expressed their sincere gratitude for the support received. During the visit, members of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team provided Councillor Berry with a fascinating and in-depth tour of their base, offering an insight into the vital work they carry out across the local area in often challenging conditions.
Councillor Berry said he was greatly impressed by the hard work, professionalism, and dedication shown by the team and thanked them for all that they do to support and protect the local community. He added that he was delighted that the funds raised during his mayoral year would go towards supporting such an important local organisation.
