It is my first duty as Prime Minister to keep this country safe.

That is why we are increasing defence spending to 2.5% of GDP from April 2027.

In an ever more dangerous world, it’s vital that we protect British people at home.

The previous Conservative Goverment have left working people worse off.

❌The average worker is £700 worse off than they were in 2010, thanks to the Tories’ reckless actions.

❌The previous Conservative government pitted workers against businesses, leading to the worst strike disruption
in decades.

❌The Conservatives have described maternity pay as “excessive” and the minimum wage as a “burden”. They haven’t changed and would take Britain backwards.

In just a matter of months Labour have got to work improving living standards and making work pay:

✔️Boosted the pay packets of 3.5 million workers with the biggest ever cash boost to the National Minimum and National Living wage.

✔️Protected the payslips of working people and invested in public services.
Labour’s new legislation will also:

✔️Make work secure by cracking down on fire and rehire and ending exploitative zero-hour contracts.

✔️Make work family-friendly with employment rights from day one, including parental leave, strengthened pregnancy rights and protection from
unfair dismissal.

Residents wants to see this change including those in Nigel Farage own seat (Thank you to The TUC for this video) who voted against this governments bill to protect workers from Day one.
