The Halecat Winter Artisan Fair is always a highlight in our diary and we're holding it again this year, Come along this Friday 16th 2pm to 8pm or Saturday 17th 11am until 4pm for some Lakeland style festive cheer.
There will be live music, hot soup and rolls, cakes, mulled wine, teas and coffees etc in the big barn. The studios will all be open and there will be a variety of visiting artists and makers. See you there!

The winter months are lovely at Halecat. Long walks, a welcoming fire and a good night's sleep are all part of the plan.

We have some delightful festivals going on locally in Autumn. Two that stand out are the quirky Chilli Fest and the heroic Comic Art Fest.

This year to mark the Beatrix Potter 150th anniversary, young people were invited to bring Peter Rabbit up to date. The results are awesome.

OPEN DAY SUNDAY 10-4
The Halecat artists are delighted to be opening up their workshops for the second time this summer to show you what they do and how they do it.
From 10-4 on Sunday they'd love you to come and chat and browse in their studios. There will be gifts for sale in the gallery space too.
There a lot going on in the vicinity of Halecat this weekend. in the Garden Nurseries are inviting you to see their creations and there's the art exhibition in Witherslack village. On Monday the Tour of Britain heads through Cumbria. The 117 mile stage starts in Carlisle and ends in Kendal so there are plenty of viewpoints including Cockermouth, Penrith and Grasmere. Will you be heading off to watch it? There are some big names including Olympic cyclists Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish. Here's the timings from Choose Cumbria. There are also lots of free events around it and it will be quite an exciting day although you might want to cycle or walk part of the way as some key roads will be closed. No one wants to get caught up in that peloton..way too exhausting!

Halecat Open Day this week!
Below you can see just some of the work from our artists over the last year at Halecat. But why look at it in photograph when you can see it for yourself?

This Wednesday 24th the Halecat artisans will be opening up several of their spaces for you to come and browse and see how they work. This will be followed by another open day in September. More details about that soon. Do come along on Wednesday. We'd all love to see you.

This Wednesday 24th August we invite you to one of two artists' Open Days we are holding this summer. Come along and see how our artists create their fine work.

We will also be opening the workshops and gallery on Sept 11th to coincide with open day and the Witherslack art exhibition. More details about that soon. If you don't know Halecat, we are situated in Witherslack in the Lake District.
