We will be participating in the NLC Doors Open Day this weekend, Saturday 16th. The station will be open from 1130 - 1600 approx.

Doors Open Days North Lanarkshire 2023

The annual Doors Open Days weekend will again take place in North Lanarkshire on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September.

There are currently 21 participating Doors Open Days venues in North Lanarkshire:

Help protect your local community by joining our team of On call firefighters within Kilsyth.

What's Involved:

On call firefighters carry a pager and respond to a range of emergency incidents and engage with local communities to promote fire, road and water safety. No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided.

What you can expect:

You will;

Receive payment for all operational incidents attended and time spent on training nights, courses and community engagement. Gain new skills and most importantly will make a positive difference supporting the local community. Interested?

You must be... 18 years of age or over. Eligible to work in the UK. Able to reach the station quickly and safely to respond to an emergency call out. Have a good level of physical fitness. Meet the required standard of vision and colour perception.

Thank you to everyone in the community that uses the recycling bins! I'm happy to announce that we have come first in Scotland for the amount of money raised for the Firefighters Charity through the collection bins in January.

"Kilsyth Fire Station came 3rd last year in Scotland and are now Scottish champions for the first time, having collected 1.75 tonnes – which raised £384."
