Personal Assistant (PA) Vacancy
We are looking for a kind, patient and reliable Personal Assistant (PA) to support a gentleman living with dementia in his own home.
Immediate Requirement:
Support is required from 13th–17th July 2026, including the provision of personal care during this period with a further opportunity to befriend over a 4 hour post per week.
Ongoing Opportunity:
Following this initial period, we are seeking someone warm and compassionate who would enjoy becoming a trusted companion and providing regular support at home.
This gentleman enjoys:
• Playing cards
• Listening to music
• Talking about football
• Friendly conversation and companionship
Main Duties:
• Providing respectful personal care from 13th–17th July 2026, delivered as two daily visits: 45 minutes each morning and 45 minutes each evening
• Offering companionship and emotional support following these dates just as a befriender which could be split over the week - to be discussed with family
• Encouraging engagement in hobbies and meaningful activities
• Supporting wellbeing and maintaining routines
• Building a positive and trusting relationship
About You:
• Caring, friendly and dependable
• Comfortable supporting someone living with dementia
• Able to communicate with patience and empathy
• Experience in care is welcomed, but the right personality and approach are equally important
• Reliable and respectful of privacy and dignity
Hours / Pay:
To be discussed depending on availability and experience.
