Familes for Children wants to hear from people who think they can provide a child with a stable and secure home. If you’d like to really make a difference then fostering or adopting is one of the most valuable and meaningful things you can do. You don’t need special qualifications: we provide all the support and training required.

What could one weekend a month mean to a child?

Maybe you’re at a different stage in life. Your own children have grown up and left home. You have more time than you used to. Or perhaps you’re simply looking for a way to do something meaningful with one weekend a month or the mid week equivalent.

📚Every child deserves the chance to discover the magic of a book 📕

Today we pay tribute to Dolly Parton and her wonderful Imagination Library celebrating her belief in the power of books and giving children the best start.

For children who are fostered or adopted, books can also offer comfort, help children explore big feelings and give them a safe space to imagine, dream and simply be a child.

Here in Glasgow, we want every child to have the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive. Every child deserves people around them who will encourage their dreams.
