Twechar Healthy Living & Enterprise Centre One stop shop for the community and surrounding areas. Range of activities, clubs group for all the family and also hosts a full time pharmacy and a Cafe.

Twechar Community Action is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status which was formed in 2001 as a response to the closure of the recreation centre in Twechar owned and operated by East Dunbartonshire Council. Twechar Community Action transformed the old recreation Centre into Twechar Healthy Living and Enterprise Centre. A community hub which houses a full-time pharmacy, a satellite

GP surgery, café and takeaway service, sports hall, meeting rooms and a vast range of activities and services. The company therefore has its origins in the action of local people to retain and improve one of the few facilities and amenities in the village. With less than three weeks to our first table top sale and fashion show we hope the community are looking forward to coming out and supporting East Dunbartonshire Climate Action Hub and the young people of the village, raise some cash and help save the planet too!

🌍Saturday 29th August 2pm - 5pm
🌍Fashion show 3pm
🌍15 tables including local residents and the likes of Cancer Research
🌍Clothes, home items, toys and more
🌍FREE to attend - cafe open as normal
🌍Young people from our youth club and local residents modelling

Come and join us for some fun, you never know someone else's pre-loved item might just be your new treasure. (Remember to bring some cash!)

📣Centre Closing Notice

The Twechar Healthy Living & Enterprise Centre will be closing at 1:00pm tomorrow and will be closed all day on Sunday due to staff holidays.

We will reopen as normal on Monday.

Another well attended Tuesday bus trip, this week to Milton of Campsie Fairy Woods and Skeds Garden to check out the 🐝🐝 the trip was fun as well as a learning opportunity for all involved. Thank you East Dunbartonshire Climate Action Hub for these fab trips!! And thank you all involved at Skeds Garden for allowing us to be some of the first people to see your impressive work with your hives 🐝🐝 The young people will be back to learn more. Thank you attendees and of course volunteers 🫶
