On May 18th full East Suffolk Council meeting I asked the cabinet member with responsibility for the environment and therefore better recycling if there was any glitches or delay to the new system and was told no.

The link is below so please contact [email protected]
If you’re having issues with the new scheme.

At 53 minutes of the meeting linked below you will see that the response was it was going to plan.
I will always be on the residents side and I listen to your feedback and the people who are there making our community.
This blatant disregard for our community is not acceptable the people who are in charge are not giving me or the public the truth

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

As we are halfway through volunteers week it’s time to reflect on the impact they have on our community, I first volunteered as a teenager, now at 51 years old I still enjoy every single moment of it.
When Cllr Rowe was Mayor he put on the first ever charity and community group summit with the team at the town council and seeing all of them together forming the Felixstowe Charities Network
Thank you to everyone who volunteers in our community, from Landguard to the Ferry , pop up shops to the hubs, our youth groups, cadet services and those who keep our coastline safe.
Those with special talents that put on our annual carnival, provide safe spaces for children and adults who have complex needs and our senior residents and those who care for our environment from litter picking to growing food for our residents.
I thank you all of you because you put the Community in community spirit.

I have heard reports that an out of town business has been parked in town, providing a service two of our wonderful independent businesses do. I will be looking into why they have been issued a street license from county highways.
We all have a responsibility to protect our town

The Mayor of Felixstowe and his cadet raised the pride flag this morning for the launch of pride month.
Felixstowe is and always will be an inclusive, welcoming and supportive community where everyone can be there true self.

Cllr Tristan Gale and myself have been out this afternoon looking into the long time issue of flooding in Orwell Green near Morrisons. Hopefully we can find the answers for residents who regularly get their homes flooded.
Working collaboratively is the key to getting answers and results.
Being independent means that I can work with the right people for the right job and get success for residents.
For the eagle eyed people the misspelt sign in Walton for the school has gone. Thank you to our county councillor

Did you know the person collecting your scrap metal must have a licence issued by East Suffolk Council, as well as an Upper Tier Waste Carriers Licence from the Environment Agency.

There are 10 licensed scrap collectors in our district. Learn more and check the register of licenced scrap metal collectors on our website - link in comments.

Massive thanks to all who have been involved with litter picking this week. The beach is much quieter today and I am enjoying the sunshine while I work.
Having so many beautiful souls in the town who care for our surroundings and environment is heartwarming and inspiring. It’s what makes this community so special.
The forecast is good again this weekend so hopefully we can be better prepared.
Litter-free Felixstowe your members are fantastic for all they do and the stickers on the bins did make a huge impact that is so obvious
