Last night, County Councillor Richard Harris and I enjoyed a lovely, relaxing games night at Hill Park Working Men’s Social Club, alongside my family.

Between us, Richard and I won £100, and the Social Club generously donated a further £50. ❤️

We’ve decided to split the money between two causes that are very close to my heart: **Hampshire Food Revolution** and a **GoFundMe campaign to help bring a family home to Fareham from Portugal**.

It’s lovely to be able to turn an enjoyable evening into something positive and help support causes that mean so much to our community. A big thank you to Hill Park Working Men’s Social Club for their generosity, and to everyone who made it such a lovely evening! 💙👏

Apologies for the lack of updates! 🤒 Someone kindly shared their sickness bug with me, and it’s had me laid up in bed for the past couple of days! 🛌

Back to the grind today, with a meeting later and another tomorrow morning. 💪🏻 Just hoping I’m over the worst of it and can keep any more bugs at bay! 🤞🏻

A Positive Step Forward for Local Care Home Residents

Following concerns raised over the weekend regarding COVID-19 and flu vaccinations at a local care home, I was keen to establish what arrangements were in place to ensure residents could access their vaccinations.

As soon as the surgery opened, I visited in person to discuss the issue with the manager. I was advised that the matter fell under the responsibility of the local Integrated Care Board (ICB), rather than the surgery itself.

I left my contact details and have since received a response confirming that a local community pharmacy will be providing the COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.

Although the exact arrangements and timescales are yet to be confirmed, this is a positive step forward.

**Sometimes, making a difference starts with asking questions, speaking to the right people, and ensuring that concerns are heard.**

I'm pleased to see progress being made on an issue that matters to the wellbeing of local care home residents. I'll be keen to see the arrangements finalised so that residents can access the protection they need.

A small step, perhaps, but a meaningful one. Every voice matters when it comes to the health and wellbeing of our communities.

**What a morning! 😅**

It started with a quick visit to one of our poorly residents, who was having a well-deserved lie-in! Then it was off to speak to a local GP surgery about some vaccine issues, followed by dropping off some equipment to a colleague on the other side of town.

I then popped back to check on my resident, but they weren’t quite in the mood for a visit this time! 😂

Back home, it was time to chase up some casework that’s far too complicated for little ol’ me! Thankfully, I’ve been able to speak with Suella Braverman MP’s team, who are helping me every step of the way. A big thank you to them! 👏

And the funny thing? **Today was supposed to be my day off!** 😂

But when you care about your community and the people in it, you just get on with it. ❤️

It’s truly heartbreaking to think that children feel it’s acceptable to cause this kind of damage. Not only has property been damaged, but the wildlife and pets around Fareham Park may also have been put at risk.

**This is NOT okay, and it shouldn’t be tolerated.**

Our residents call this home and deserve to be treated with care and respect.

If anyone has any information about who is responsible, please do the right thing and contact the police. Hopefully, those responsible can be identified and held accountable for their actions.
